Research Plan
History -
For looking into both the history of both of my chosen job roles, being level design and audio, I will look at a range of different sources, in order to identify the successes and failures in my chosen job role areas over a large amount of time. These research sources will include looking on the internet, finding books in a library, and also playing a wide variety of games to identify how level design and audio aspects have changed and adapted over time. In addition to this, I will also look into the various techniques that have been used over time, in both level design and audio to create the desired effects which have helped make games more successful.
Influences -
As for looking into my main influences for both of my chosen job roles, I will look at a wide range of ways in which level design and audio has been presented in games. Furthermore, I will not only look at this, but also at the people behind these level designs and audio aspects for these games. In doing this, I will look at interviews and information written by these people, to therefore take on board any advice and/or opinions that they have in each of my chosen areas. In conjunction with this, I will also analyse their work, identifying what I believe is good or not so good about it. With this in mind, I will also look at reviews of these peoples products, in order to ensure that whatever I make is of interest of the target audience, if I were to make similar work. As well as this, I will also look into the different theories which these influencers follow, as I can use these to help me make my own work more successful.
For looking into the career pathways for level design and audio, I will look into the qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience required to get a job in each of the areas. In conjunction with this, I will also look into whether I would need to start in a junior role first, or go straight into the role from college or University. As well as this, I will also research how much I could potentially earn in one of these roles, and whether the responsibilities of the role differ in larger companies compared to smaller indie companies.

Experimentation -
For the experimentation process of both level design and audio, I will need to practice a range of methods, techniques and styles which I have researched, for both my chosen job roles. In doing this, I will need to create a portfolio of experimental research, in order to demonstrate my skills and creativity in these roles. As well as creating a portfolio, I will also document all of my experimentation on my Wix website, in the form of production dairies. Within these diaries I will reflect on the development of my practical skills in these production diaries, discussing the problems which I have faced and how I have overcome them, whilst also evaluating how well I feel each of the different techniques and styles have turned out.
