Unity Quiz - 02/09/18

Updated: Oct 4, 2018

In today's lesson, we watched 4 Unity tutorials on different things we could do to both the objects in our scene and the scenes themselves, in order to achieve a successfully working game. After watching and interacting with the tutorials, we individually took a quiz on what we had just learnt. The quiz discussed things such as gameobjects (the things in our scene), components (a game object which we can change the way it looks and behaves), scene view (the window which we use to move our objects), game view (the window to test our game), prefab (a template game object which can be saved and have copies made of), instance (when we place a prefab in a scene), values (which is when we change the way a component effects a gameobject) and rigidbody (where a component causes a gameobject to be effected by physics forces.

By completing these tutorials and by taking this quiz, I believe that it will enable me to work more efficiently during the Another World project. This is mainly due to how i have now learnt some basic coding skills in Unity to make the environment, myself and my partner will be making at least somewhat interactive and more realistic for the player. Furthermore, by learning these basic skills, it will help to reduce the time it takes to code our 3D environment, as it will be mainly the basic coding skills we will need, in order to make the environment a more enjoyable and interactive experience for the player. This is due to the fact that both myself and my partner have decided to not make a game, but instead, make a more detailed and also interactive 3D environment.
